Oh Jess. This whole table feels like a hand held out. The part about giving belonging away for years without saving any for yourself really landed. That is such a tender and brutal recognition. And I love that sadness and uncertainty got chairs too. Not everything has to be solved before it is allowed to sit with us. 🫶🏼

Also, that poem?

First one or not, it knew exactly what it was doing.

Those “tiny windows / for anyone / to find me / lit from within” lines are truly beautiful.

Thank you so much, friend💕 it’s so hard to show up in the middle of it all…with no pretty bow, no concrete answers for the questions or even fixes for the broken parts…but showing up is the point, I guess🙏

This poetry thing might just be what I need to explore more in this middle messy section of my week🤞

Aye. I am most grateful for the multitude of therapeutic love I have received and the tools, of course. But the understanding of self can be overwhelming in one sitting, I suspect. We don't always need fixing. I learned that too, finally. I'm like kintsugi now. ♡

You precious sweet soul! Thank you so much for this. It means so very much to me. Not only for the share but bc you are saying you resonated with my words. I’m glad to have been able to write something you can find yourself in. When I write I’m obviously putting myself and my thoughts out there but my real hope is that they find who they need to find. I am honored they showed up for you. Truly!

Also, please love on that momma. She gave you some good advice and it’s wonderful you still have her to give it to you now that you’re all grown up. 🥲

Of course! I love your writing…so spunky and real, it’s been so good for my soul to connect with yours! I LOVE my momma dearly, she’s the fucking best…and yes, so so so grateful to have her while I can…time is a thief, I know <3

Holding you in love as you continue flowing through the sadness and uncertainty you named. I’m so glad you pulled up a chair for them, too. It isn’t always easy, but welcoming every part of ourselves home is such a deeply human practice 🤍

And thank you for the mention, Jess! I am touched that my writing speaks to you.

Your words have definitely held me this week, so thank YOU! It’s definitely one of those weeks where every little thing brings me to tears. Letting them flow & trying to find space to sit in the discomfort of not feeling “great” all the time🙏
